Staff CNM, Nurse Midwifery Service, Martin County Health Department, Stuart and Indiantown, FL. One of four CNMs staffing three Martin County Health Department clinics weekly, serving the same population as in the previous CNM service. OB census: 400+ deliveries per year.

April 2002 to present:
Part time staff, nurse practitioner, Treasure Coast Chapter Planned Parenthood; Stuart, West Palm Beach, Lake Worth, and Vero Beach, FL.

August 1998 to October 2000:
Staff CNM, Nurse Midwifery Service, Martin Memorial Health System, Stuart and Indiantown, FL.  One of five CNMs staffing three Martin County health department clinics weekly, serving a diverse patient population, including a large population of Guatemalan Mayan Indians and Mexican migrant farm workers.  Antepartum and intrapartum CNM practice including co-management of high risk obstetrics with backup obstetricians on contract with the hospital. OB census for CNM service, average. 400+ deliveries per year, approximately 30% of total OB volume in Martin County, FL.  CNM service closed due to budget constraints, October 2000.

April 1997 to August 1998:
Full scope nurse midwifery in Pahokee, in western Palm Beach county, with Robert L. Hatton, M.D., Everglades Regional Medical Center; management of high risk obstetrics, obstetric sonography and first assistant for C-sections. Pahokee is a rural, agricultural community. Everglades Regional Medical Center is the oldest hospital Palm Beach county. OB census; 800 births per year.   This hospital ceased operations in March 1998.
